Shelf prices photographed at GINZA SIX in late August 2026, tax included.
Cost: gacha ¥500 a go, mountain sweets from ¥3,700, cookie tins from ¥1,890
Where: GINZA SIX, basement floor B2, Ginza, Tokyo. Open 10:30–20:30
Watch out for: the mountain sweets are seasonal, so the one in our photo may be gone
Shorakuen Kiosk opened on the B2 food floor of GINZA SIX in March 2026. It is built to look like the kiosk of a made-up railway station: green tiles, painted mountains and cranes, and a little window counter. We were there on a Tokyo trip in late August and photographed the price tags. The same floor also has Patisserie GIN NO MORI, which sells cookie tins, so both are on this page.

Yamagashi: sweets shaped like mountains
Shorakuen’s main product is 山菓子 yamagashi, sweets shaped like real Japanese mountains. The tags name the mountain, the prefecture and the season, and list the allergens in English (the ones we saw list egg, dairy, wheat and soybean).

- Mt Fuji, “Aofuji” (spring): ¥5,300
- Sakurajima, Mt Ontake (summer): ¥3,700
Tea, tins and the gacha

- Osmanthus oolong tea (金木犀烏龍茶), tin: ¥4,320
- “Utopian Flower” teacup and saucer: ¥15,400
- Yamagashi drawstring bag: ¥22,000

The gacha is the cheapest thing in the shop and the easiest small souvenir: ¥500, one coin, and you get one of the keyrings shown on the board.

Patisserie GIN NO MORI: cookie tins
GIN NO MORI is a confectioner from Ena in Gifu, the prefecture next to ours. Its GINZA SIX shop is on the same B2 floor. The tins are called Le Petit Bois, and each tag shows the tax-included price in large type and the price before tax (本体価格) in small type.

- Le Petit Bois 150 Autumn: ¥4,320
- Le Petit Bois, GINZA SIX limited edition: ¥1,890
Notes from a local
- Read the tag, not the box. The tags give the price with tax, the season and the allergens in English.
- The mountain sweets change with the season. The tags we saw were marked spring and summer.
- If you only want one small thing, the ¥500 gacha or the ¥1,890 GINZA SIX tin are the easy picks.
- Both shops are on B2 of GINZA SIX, open 10:30–20:30 (from the GINZA SIX shop pages).
While you are in Ginza, Itoya’s twelve floors of stationery and Kimuraya’s anpan are on the same main street, Chuo-dori.
